Darling honored with the North Dakota Career and Technical Education Administrator of the Year!

Doug Darling, Vice President of Instructional Services at Lake Region State College, was honored this fall with the North Dakota Career and Technical Education Administrator of the Year.

 The award given by the North Dakota Career & Technical Education Administrators recognizes administrators who demonstrate support and promote career and technical education.

 Darling has been Vice President of Instructional Services since 1998 where he supervises academic and career/tech programs. He has a strong background in career and technical education. He earned a master’s degree in vocational education from UND and a bachelor’s degree in marketing education.

 The purpose of NDCTEA is to promote and develop Career & Technical Education in secondary and post-secondary schools of North Dakota; assist the members in matters of organization, administration, and supervision of local programs.

 The group also promotes career and technical by keeping the people of the state informed through a public relations program; fosters closer integration of career and technical education within the total education system; promote and develop affirmative legislative action pertaining to career and technical education in North Dakota.
