Devils Lake makes CNBC news

Devils Lake, North Dakota

OCTOBER 2010: Welcome to Devils Lake, North Dakota! Their area is rich in culture, beauty and economic opportunity. A pristine place full of people trained to assist you in starting, expanding or relocating your business and waiting to welcome your family to their safe neighborhoods.

Devils Lake is being discovered everyday by different companies and industries. During the time when states around North Dakota and throughout the US struggled economically, Devils Lake North Dakota experienced very modest growth. Devils Lake had increases in taxable sales, job growth, and tourism dollars collected. As Devils Lake begins to market itself better and gain momentum moving into the New Year and decade they only expect that things will get better. “We have noticed that Devils Lake is starting to get noticed more than it has in the past. We seem to be getting a lot interest from companies in the renewable energy sector. With our access to infrastructure, location, our business climate, and wind resources we only find that it makes sense for companies in that sector to consider Devils Lake” says Chris Schilken Executive Director of Forward Devils Lake Economic Development Corporation.

The stats also don’t lie when talking about their location and business climate. North Dakota is ranked 1st in wind potential, 1st in Workers Comp rates, and 3rd in cost of doing business. Read the full article. (more…)
